How to Brew

The Pure Over coffee maker is the start to a whole new coffee brewing experience, straddling the line between a pour-over in function and a French press in flavor. It’s in a league of its own. Made entirely of borosilicate glass, it’s as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. It requires no paper filters and is composed of six key elements—a dripper, a diffuser lid, a stir stick, a ceramic base, mug, and the mug coaster. Most everything you need to make the perfect morning brew. Use is as easy as 1-2-3. Start by filing the dripper with 20 grams of your favorite medium ground coffee, then place the diffuser lid on top. Then, place the dripper on top of the mug. Slowly pour hot water through the lid. The diffuser lid regulates the speed at which the water rains onto the coffee grounds in the dripper below saturating the coffee grounds. Let the coffee grounds bloom for 30-45 seconds before pouring the remaining water, approximately 10 ounces (or to the height of the dripper handle). Complete drawdown takes around 5 minutes. As with anything new, using Pure Over can start off with a bit of a learning curve. With our unique built-in glass filter, you’ll never need to buy a paper filter again. Though you will need to experiment with your grind. We recommend grinding your beans to a medium grind. We recommend a burr grinder as it grinds in the most uniform way.
